LAHORE: Right-arm fast bowler Naseem Shah, who joined Quetta Gladiators in 2019, is poised to end his association with the franchise for the upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to a media report, Shah has attributed personal reasons for his decision to part ways with the team. The report further added that there is notable interest from both Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi in securing Shah’s services for the forthcoming edition of the PSL. Discussions regarding Shah’s potential move to either of these teams are gaining traction, with speculation that he may enter the drafting process or be part of a trade deal. It must be noted that during a PSL 8 match between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars earlier this year, Naseem Shah appeared visibly frustrated, prompting fans to express their dissatisfaction and advocate for his change of franchise in the next season. Naseem got injured during Asia Cup, ruling him out of the ICC World Cup 2023. Following the injury, the fast bowler underwent shoulder surgery in October and is presently undergoing rehabilitation.
